Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
$16.99
Sauvignon Blanc is grown in the Marlborough vineyard on stony riverbed terraces, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks to give intense passionfruit and gooseberry fruit characters. The wine is fruit-driven in style, with complexity from lees ageing for several months in stainless steel tanks before bottling. This wine is a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with intense flavours and crisp acid in a dry style.
An inviting and fine texture brings out the citrus and currant flavours of the wine. Pure fruit and vibrant acidity leave a sustained, dry finish.
We hope this will be a new favorite!
Spy Valley Pinot Noir
$26.99
Pinot Noir is hand-harvested from vines in our Marlborough vineyard, gently separated from the stems and fermented in small, traditional open-top vats. These vats are hand-plunged to extract colour and tannin, and after pressing the wine is aged in French oak barrels. Fruit-driven in style with soft tannins and spicy oak.
Red fruits, plum and sweet cherry are underpinned with fragrant notes of spice and dried sage on the nose. On the palate, the wine is fruit forward with a long supple structure, licorice and cocoa notes.
Aspall English Cyders
$7.99 (500 ml)
This cyder has a higher bittersweet content than all our others, so is much closer in style to his cyder of the 1700’s.
The Organic has an attractive golden colour; a marked fruity aroma of traditional bittersweet cyder apple, with floral and spicy overtones. The palate is rich, initially full and slightly sweet, with good balancing acidity and a pronounced astringency followed by a very long dry finish.
Pairs well with strong cheddars, Blue Stilton and pungent, ripe French cheeses - all found in the Food Market!
ABV 7%
