Welcome Chef Ed!
We have so appreciated the dedication and talent of Chef Mike. He worked tirelessly to create memorable meals for our guests. He has now decided to take his career into its next phase and has accepted a teaching position where he'll be training student chefs. (And golfing a lot in the summer.) MIke left some big shoes to fill, but we found just the person to do it.
Welcome to Chef Ed! After years of toiling in all the support positions in the kitchens of some great places, Ed became Executive Chef at Bluefin Bay. As a native Minnesotan and premiere resort chef, we're certain we have some classic Minnesota foods coming our way.
Ed is always on the lookout for new dishes. He watches food trends, gets a lot of inspiration from his wife, Miriama, and finds new ideas through travel. Living and working in Minnesota provides Ed with a wonderful array of local products like wild rice, ramps (wild leeks), venison, beef, corn, heirloom tomatoes, fish and cheese. Ed says his approach to cooking is really straightforward. "I try to use the freshest ingredients to create really clean flavors."
Welcome, Chef Ed! We're delighted to have you at Pairings!
